Holly Chadwick is a Family Nurse Practitioner with her national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with honors in 2013 with her Masters of Science in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Morristown Medical Center and Chilton Medical Center for many years. She has her IBCLC and is passionate about helping families with their breastfeeding goals. She believes in and practices an integrated approach to pediatric care. The overall health of a child and their family through nutrition, lifestyle, and environment are all important components to healthcare. Holly is always working with her patients to optimize the health and wellness of the families she cares for.
Holly was able to learn pediatric care from Dr. Howard Schlachter. She works independently but Dr. Annette Rosetti-Cartaxo is her collaborating physician. Holly is always striving to learn more about the importance of nutrition, diet, and incorporating a variety of treatments when caring for her patients. She understands and embraces the importance of preventative medicine and appropriate treatment and will always educate families about what options are available for illnesses or preventative medicine.
Holly understands and believes that parents are the most important healthcare providers for their children. While working in the NICU she learned that as fragile as some of her patients were, their parents would always know them best. She would counsel families that although the care the babies received from the nurses was important, the parents were physically and emotionally present consistently and the goal of all babies was that they would be brought home to be cared for and loved by their families. So educating parents on how to care for their children was always vital. Holly still embraces that concept. Parents will know their children best and she will work with families educating them with the best information available to care for their children in a manner that is best for the family and their lifestyle.
Holly and her husband, Bill, met as teenagers when they worked at a summer camp. They are blessed to have 2 active boys. Holly has volunteered in the past leading youth groups and earning a certificate in Youth and Theology from Princeton Seminary. She currently volunteers her time with a local free clinic caring for patients of all ages with a variety of healthcare needs. She enjoys horseback riding, camping, and spending time with her family.
