Rebecca received her Master’s Degree from NYU six months after her oldest daughter was born. It was during that first pregnancy that Rebecca discovered a deep interest in all things birth related. Following a positive birth experience, thanks to her care providers, childbirth teacher and labor support doula, Rebecca decided to become a Childbirth Educator, certified through Lamaze International. Rebecca is also certified to teach Hypnobirthing, Infant massage and is a certified Labor Support Doula (DONA)
Rebecca taught childbirth education at a large hospital in NYC for about 8 years, which included the Lamaze childbirth series, the Birth Center Class, the Hypnobirthing Intensive Class and the Sibling Preparation Class.
Now working for the Midwives of New Jersey, Rebecca is so happy to teach childbirth classes and attend births as a Midwife Assistant.
Rebecca strongly believes that all families should be educated so they can make informed decisions and that they should receive support during labor, birth and postpartum. It’s an honor for Rebecca to work and connect with families at such a special time in their lives and be a part of their birth team.
Rebecca lives in New Jersey with her husband Jason and their four children, Tamar, Zelig, Ayelet and Eliana.
