Access to Midwives

This study explains that more fully and more uniformly integrating Midwifery into America’s maternity care system will help decrease maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity. That is what we want. We want to be trusted to take care of the women within our scope of practice and be able collaborate with physicians and hospital staff without being treated as “dangerous” and “ignorant”. Hopefully, this study will further elucidate the value of Midwifery which will, in turn, Improve Birth Outcomes in New Jersey and the whole country.
