Heather received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the College of St. Elizabeth and began teaching in 2005. She married her high school sweetheart, Jason, and had her two sons, Logan in 2007 and Gunnar in 2010. It was during these pregnancies and births that Heather realized that she was very interested in quality healthcare and holistic based healing. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2016, is certified in Infant Massage and is a certified Doula through DONA.
Heather joined Midwives of New Jersey in 2021 as a Doula/Midwife Assistant to serve and honor women as they become empowered by what their bodies can do. After working at MNJ for a few years, and falling in love with birth, she went back to nursing school in hopes to further her career and one day become a Midwife herself! She is now transitioning from her role as a midwife assistant to a Nurse in our practice. Heather believes that every family should receive support during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. She truly loves her role at birth and looks forward to connecting with each family both at births as well as at your 28 week and 1 week postpartum visits.
