Not an Isolated Incidence
This woman’s baby was taken from her because of her CHOICE to have a homebirth. I do not know the circumstances in this particular case but I do know that this is not an isolated occurence. Your Birth Your CHOICE is an initiative designed to gather the strength of Midwives of New Jersey’s outspoken clientele and join with other Birth Choice groups like NJ BirthNet, International Cesarean Awareness (ICAN) and Choices In Childbirth to improve the access of all New Jersey women to Homebirth, Waterbirth, VBAC, Midwifery Care and low-intervention hospital birth.
