5 Reasons to Attend a Midwives of New Jersey Playgroup 

The Midwives of New Jersey have opened their classrooms in New Jersey for playgroups in Hackettstown and Madison for the past 4 years.  The purpose of the playgroups is to create community for our clients as well as women who live in our vicinity.

1. You Can Meet New Friends.

Playgroups aren’t just for the kids.  The kids are occupied so the Moms can talk!  Many women have made good friends from meeting at the playgroup.

2. Your Child Can Socialize.

Right from the start, babies benefit from being with other babies. From tummy time on the mats to crawling through tunnels, right up through running around and playing dress up, all kids learn by watching others.  Playgroup is a safe space for your children to learn social interactions at their own pace.

Our playgroups are a great activity without cost.  These groups are part of The Midwives of New Jersey’s outreach intended for the betterment of Moms and their children.  We hope that our communities will be stronger because of the playgroups. With two locations and multiple times throughout the week, there’s sure to be a playgroup to fit into your schedule.

Whether it’s the mid-winter blues and cabin fever or just feeling overwhelmed, playgroup gives you a place to go and hang out to brighten up your day! Mark it on your calendar and set a goal to get out of the house as often as you can.

Moms these days spend so much time on the internet looking for parenting advice and oftentimes wind up feeling more confused than when they started.  Come to our playgroups and discuss your questions and concerns with a real community of moms who care about you and your children.  We desire our Playgroups to be judgment-free zones, safe places where everyone fits in.  It takes a village to raise a child, so let’s all work together to raise ours!
